Finance & Accounting Associate (Contract) PCX is accelerating the transition to a circular economy and building a future where no plastic ends up in nature. PCX Solutions is a non‑profit organization working with governments around the world on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes to boldly tackle the plastic issue upstream and downstream. We help the corporate sector understand its plastic footprint, implement reduction strategies, and comply with existing and upcoming legislation. We also manage a fully transparent, third‑party audited Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard to ensure the impact and responsibility of plastic waste projects, channeling funding into recycling infrastructure and increasing socioeconomic benefits for the communities. Job Overview: As a Finance & Accounting Associate, you will be part of the Finance team responsible for day‑to‑day financial and accounting operations that will provide accurate, timely, and accessible financial information to help our team make well‑informed financial decisions and optimize resources to achieve PCX Solution’s mission. This position will support accounting responsibilities including accounts payable (AP), billing and collection, and monthly close procedures. This role will report to the Finance and Accounting Manager and will work closely with other cross‑functional team members in several key areas. Contract position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a defined timeframe. Key Responsibilities: Track payables and outgoing payments Verify employees’ expense reports in accordance with company policies Process payments to suppliers using the Disbursement Voucher System with complete documentation Verify vendor invoices are BIR compliant Clear bills or vendor invoices in QuickBooks Prepare the supplier Creditable Withholding Tax form Assist in maintaining the book of accounts in QuickBooks including preparation of journal entries Assist in the preparation of complete financial statements and timely bank reconciliations Fill out tax periodic forms in accordance with BIR‑prescribed deadlines; timely payment processing of verified tax dues following the prescribed channels and methods Prepare invoices to customers and ensure they are released and paid on time File and maintain accounting documents readily available for audit Perform physical inventory count as needed Qualifications: Motivated and proactive self‑starter with a passion for the PCX mission Detail oriented and able to organize and perform with accuracy and efficiency Excited by the prospect of operating in a fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment and able to manage work streams independently Undergraduate degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required Proficient with Google Suite (Sheets, Mail, Docs) Proficient with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software Previous work experience related to accountancy, bookkeeping, or finance is advantageous Work Arrangement – Hybrid: This role is planned as a full‑time position with 40 hours per week based in Manila. It offers a hybrid model, combining the flexibility of remote work with regular office presence for team work (estimated 2 times a week). Core work hours are from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; early morning or evening meetings may be required as part of our global team.
