General Description of Tasks (Officer):
This is a full-time and regular position. The Account Officer plays a vital role in the implementation of GPMI’s sustainable green microfinance program. The officer will be responsible for organizing, recruiting, and training community members engaged in community-based enterprises, whether identified by GPMI or through partner institutions. This role includes planning and executing activities to meet defined performance targets and ensure the effective rollout of sustainable green microfinance products. Oversee the social development initiatives, ensuring that GPMI’s green micro finance services remain viable, socially relevant, and impactful to the communities served.
- Implements the sustainable green microfinance products and services according to the standard operating procedures of GPMI
- Exercises sound judgment in making straightforward, low-risk decisions that contribute to the effective achievement of assigned targets and operational goals
- Accurate and timely submission of standardized reports in accordance with the established reporting guidelines
- Assists in the development of sustainable green microfinance products, strategies, and implementation plans on community-based enterprises aligned with the GPMI product objectives
- Supervises and coordinates community-based activities
- Leads the conduct of feasibility studies to identify and develop viable community-based enterprises aligned with GPMI’s sustainable green microfinance goals
- Assesses market potential, resource availability, environmental impact, and income-generating capacity of proposed livelihood activities
- Assists in networking and forging collaboration with potential partners
- Assists in the development and conducts learning sessions
- Gathers data through interviews, surveys, research, coordination with relevant government agencies, and the private sector to further assist in the development of sustainable green microfinance products
- Consolidates activity reports and all other documentation pertaining to the sustainable green microfinance products
- Assists the Innovation Manager in monitoring the achievement of key result areas of the sustainable green microfinance products
- Recommends enhancement and improvement of the sustainable green microfinance products
- Coordinates with authorized suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with requirements and timelines set by the immediate supervisor
- Performs additional key result areas and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor in support of evolving program goals and operational priorities
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position
- Open to fresh graduate or undergraduate
- Strong passion for agriculture

- Added Advantage: Relevant work experience on Community Development or Community Enterprise
- Proven experience in community development work, including multi-sectoral partnerships, network building and community-based resource management
- Significant experience in research work
- Adept in writing and oral communication
- Above-average ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proven farming experience and potential for growth
- Strong passion for agriculture
- Ability to adapt to changes
