The client is an online design platform that helps entrepreneurs and businesses create logos, websites, business cards, social media and other designs. About the Role

We’re on the hunt for a talented icon designer with strong experience in and a huge passion for graphic design to contribute to our world-leading logo library.

The role is focused on icon creation. A strong visual eye is a must, but also you need to have good copywriting skills to be able to give your icons savvy keyword-driven tags.

What you’ll do

• Design 100% original vector-based icons that you upload to BrandCrowd, and prepare for review and publishing, meeting agreed KPIs

• Record your work in a timely manner in a personal tracker and team trackers

• Copywriting – add relevant tags to help customers find the icon designs on the website

• Design unique original icons for the logo maker and other template makers and design libraries on BrandCrowd

• Edit and enhance existing icons and other template inventory that need to be updated.

• Record your work in a timely manner in a personal tracker and team trackers

• Collaborate effectively with team members on assignments, ensuring alignment with project briefs

• Provide assistance to the In-house Logo Team and Logo Team when required; this includes helping with the completion of their tasks

• More and/or different responsibilities can be added may arise as part of the role

What You Bring

• 3 years minimum experience working as an in-house graphic designer, agency or freelancer where you were engaged in icon or logo creation.

• At ease using design software and technologies including Adobe Illustrator

• A strong icon design portfolio or online graphic design portfolio link with your application

• Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field and/or strong work experience designing icons is essential

• Excellent visual taste/aesthetics is a must

• Good knowledge of color combinations to create stunning icons

• Knowledge of graphic design trends

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

• Keen goal setter, who is comfortable setting goals and achieving KPIs and targets

• Self starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a team

• Strong, confident level of business English expected for editing the icons you make and SEO

• Experience selling vector icons on stock platforms and knowledgeable about stock platform template libraries is a plus

• Comfortable working in Google suite products and messaging apps like Slack

• A reliable internet connectivity with a minimum 10 mbps bandwidth

• A conducive home office
