Sr. Finance Specialist - General Accounting / CPM Position/Title: Sr. Finance Specialist – General Accounting / Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Set-Up: Hybrid (Initial 2 months onsite for training; Hybrid thereafter with onsite presence as needed for client/project/event requirements) Role Level: Mid-Level Shift: Dayshift | Supporting APAC Work Calendar Top Skills: SAP, CPM, General Accounting, Project P&L Support, MS Office Role Purpose The Senior Finance Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely input of finance-related data into enterprise systems such as SAP and CPM. This role supports project managers by ensuring financial data integrity, validating cost-related entries, and applying core finance knowledge (e.g., debit/credit, margin review). The specialist may also take over financial responsibilities when project managers are unable to cover finance items, particularly related to profit and loss tracking. Key Accountabilities Transaction Recording & Validation Record finance-related data in systems like SAP and CPM. Validate entries against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain and update recorded transactions as needed. Business Coordination & Issue Resolution Liaise with relevant business units to resolve concerns related to finance or project data. Ensure timely and accurate processing of business requests. Align with project managers to update project plans and financial components. Finance Fundamentals Apply working knowledge of accounting principles including debit/credit, margin review, and cost validation. Support financial aspects of projects when project managers are unavailable, especially for profit and loss tracking. System Use & Compliance Utilize ERP systems (SAP and CPM) effectively for finance-related tasks. Demonstrate working knowledge of CPM functionalities relevant to finance operations. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams. Handle multiple projects/accounts and manage workload during peak periods. Other Duties Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Qualifications Must-Have Skills Minimum 3 years of experience in General Accounting within a Global Shared Services environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any business-related course. Proficient in SAP and CPM systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Solid understanding of finance fundamentals (e.g., debit/credit, margin review, cost validation). Nice-to-Have Skills Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus. Familiarity with project P&L concepts. Ability to work extended hours during peak periods.
