Are you a strategic and visionary audit leader with a passion for ensuring financial integrity? Sun Savings Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Audit to lead our internal audit function and play a crucial role in safeguarding our assets and reputation. About the Role: As Head of Audit, you will be responsible for providing independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of our risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. You will lead a team of talented auditors and work closely with senior management and the audit committee to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the bank's continued financial health and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based audit plan aligned with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage the internal audit team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Oversee the execution of audits, ensuring adherence to professional standards and methodologies. Identify and assess key risks and controls, providing insightful recommendations for improvement. Report audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee, effectively communicating complex issues. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress towards remediation. Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements particularly those issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and industry best practices, ensuring the audit function remains current and effective. Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the bank. Collaborate with other departments to promote a strong risk management framework. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent. Deep understanding of banking regulations, risk management frameworks, and internal control best practices. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of audit professionals. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
