Role: BIM Modeler

Overview

This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and the Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. The GEC provides key capabilities and capacity to support clients around the world. GEC roles may be dedicated to a country or operate as part of a global centre of excellence, offering diversity and variety.

Responsibilities
  • To assist the BIM Coordinator and Senior BIM Modeller to deliver allocated projects to meet project goals and deliverable dates
  • To provide 3 stages of drawing work during project execution: Drawing Set-up, Drawing Production and Drawing Submission
  • To lead the team in drawing production and standard implementation in strategic direction as instructed by BIM Coordinator
  • To support in providing direction in emerging technologies associated with CAD and Revit
  • Report to the BIM Coordinator and Senior BIM Modeller in charge and perform the tasks assigned
  • Provide daily report of project status to Senior BIM Modeller
  • Notify Senior BIM Modeller of any changes to the model or new updated models
  • Fully coordinate models with other disciplines using Navisworks ensuring models have limited clashes
  • Ensure all models are linked correctly before modelling
  • Liaise with and notify engineers of any design errors or clashes that may occur with other services
  • Provide oversight on workflow within the project and coordinate with Senior BIM Modeller to address issues
  • Assist the Senior BIM Modeller with the drawing operation of assigned projects
  • Support the engineers with issues related to drawing standards and usage of AutoCAD/Revit software
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Sanitary or Civil Engineering
  • Civil Engineer with Sanitary experience accepted
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Revit software, preferably with prior experience with Dynamo
  • Able to work on a flexible schedule
  • Job experience in a design consulting firm and BIM role is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Overseas experience is an advantage (work in other countries or project design outsourcing)
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Systematic and methodological approach
