The Role: CAD Designer Imagine being the person who ensures every line, layer, and symbol is exactly where it needs to be. The one who transforms design concepts into clear, professional plans that teams and clients can rely on. When the design team needs reflected ceiling plans, system layouts, or precise documentation, you’ll have already delivered, precise, organized, and ahead of schedule. As a CAD Designer, you’ll play an essential role behind the scenes, supporting the design and engineering teams. You’ll work closely with team leads to create and maintain detailed plan sets, follow technical instructions, and apply standard templates to ensure consistency across all drawings. Your ability to stay organized, self‑manage tasks, and adapt quickly to revisions will make you a key part of the project workflow. And the best part? What Your Days Might Look Like: Create, update, and maintain 2D plan sets for residential lighting and low‑voltage system designs Ensure symbols, icons, and layers are accurately placed, scaled, and consistent with design standards Follow technical instructions and apply standardized templates for all drawings Produce reflected ceiling plans, elevation diagrams, and layout drawings from design team direction Use color coding and symbols to distinguish system components (lighting, AV, security, networking, shading, etc.) Collaborate with team leads and designers for alignment, revisions, and updates Attend internal Zoom meetings and, on occasion, design reviews with clients Self‑manage priorities, complete edits, and proactively solve design‑related challenges Maintain organized digital file structures and documentation for easy access and version control Who We Think Will Thrive in This Role: You have experience creating technical drawings and maintaining 2D plan documentation You have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to precision You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files and revisions You have strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools quickly You have excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines You have clear communication skills — both written and verbal You’re a self‑starter, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working remotely You have a background in architecture, drafting, design, or a related field (a plus) You are willing to work in a US time zone schedule.
