DevOps Engineer 3

The DevOps Engineer 3 is a technical expert with in-depth technical knowledge and experience. This role applies best practices and understanding of business issues to improve products or services. It requires solving complex problems creatively and working independently with minimal guidance. The DevOps Engineer maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades, and deploys enterprise applications across various platforms. Developing a deep understanding of enterprise production environments is essential to proactively identify and resolve operational issues. The role involves frequent coordination with application developers, engineering, and support teams to deliver new systems and establish highly available system architectures. The Engineer leverages a wide range of technologies to enhance business performance through monitoring, automation, and CI/CD solutions. Key Accountabilities: Analyze, design, deploy, automate, and test complex infrastructure and application solutions that meet business needs and security standards. Promote emerging technologies and collaborate across functions to create operational efficiencies aligned with organizational goals. Provide technical support for platforms, data, and applications, understanding technical dependencies. Identify and resolve complex problems, including production outages. Influence team priorities and balance workload to meet deadlines. Understand business and user behaviors by interpreting data in context. Collaborate on system design and implementation, providing technical expertise. Lead infrastructure design, focusing on system availability and reliability using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems. Implement secure, scalable software delivery pipelines for reliable deployments. Drive efficiency through automation, reducing costs and increasing productivity. Stay current with emerging technologies, including Generative AI, exploring their integration into DevOps workflows. Document procedures and operational runbooks. Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred. Experience leading and solutioning in a senior/lead DevOps role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of system engineering, architecture, and security best practices. Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure. Experience working in distributed teams. Excellent communication skills, including documentation and reporting. Proficiency in programming/scripting (e.g., Python, Node.js, React.js, Typescript). Experience with AWS (expertise), Azure, GCP. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions, ArgoCD. Experience with monitoring tools like AWS OpenSearch, Dynatrace, Grafana. Experience with Agile and project management tools like Jira.
