Job DescriptionPosition Title: FINANCIAL PLANNING ANALYST
Reports to: FP&A and COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER
Job Summary:
The Financial Planning Analyst (People Cost) is responsible for assisting the Leadership team in maximizing profitability through the preparation of the annual budget for compensation, benefits, and other people-related expenses. The role also involves ensuring accurate financial accounting of all people-cost expenses and developing manpower charge-out rates.
Key Results Areas:
On-time delivery of well-prepared budgets for Compensation, Benefits, and other People-related expenses
- Lead data gathering activities related to all costs for compensation, benefits, and other people-related expenses.
- Maintain confidentiality across all transactions and communications concerning people costs.
- Collaborate with the CFO, HR Director, C&B Team, FP&A team, and Accounting team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of People Cost and related reports.
- Reconcile Year-To-Date and Year-To-Go expenses based on projections.
- Document historical decision points impacting budget directions.
- Improve budget templates and tools to reduce errors and enhance insights for stakeholders.
- Review and ensure correctness of compensation and benefits reports for utilization and profitability.
- Prepare and deliver People Cost reports, maintaining confidentiality of salary and related data.
- Create, analyze, and submit budget line items related to people costs and HR activities, supported by calculations and sound assumptions.
On-Time and Complete Review of Financial Accounting for People Cost
- P&L Review: Regularly review and reconcile C&B accounting entries and provide analysis on expense movements.
- Account Reconciliation Analysis (ARA): Collaborate with the C&B team to review monthly ARA reports, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization.
On-time delivery of Optimal Manpower Rate Cards
- Work with the CFO to ensure hourly change-out rates are accurate.
- Ensure rate development complies with client Master Service Agreements.
- Document historical decisions impacting rate development.
- Collaborate to optimize rates for agency profitability.
- Provide clear instructions on rate usage and application.
- Enhance templates and tools to improve rate card development and application.
Others
- Lead and complete assigned projects efficiently.
- Assist in delivering relevant reports for Financial Planning and Commercial Finance.
- Provide insights on key metrics and risks to support team performance.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
