Position Title: Head, Asset and Liability Department

Job Summary:

  • The Head of Asset & Liability Risk Department is responsible for overseeing processes related to identifying and measuring market and liquidity risks in the organization’s asset-liability strategy and related activities .

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and monitoring risks related to asset and liability mismatches, interest rate changes, and liquidity needs.
  • Policy and Procedure: Develop and enforce policies and procedures for asset-liability risk management to mitigate financial risks including those in new products.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present risk management reports to senior management and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal control limits.
  • Modeling and Analysis: Use quantitative models and simulations to forecast and evaluate potential risk scenarios and their impact on the organization.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other units such as controllership/finance and treasury to ensure integrated risk management in decision-making.

Overall, the role involves a mix of strategic oversight, analytical work and leadership.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years supervisory role in a Bank Treasury or Risk role in Asset Liability Management
