They are building an intelligent engine that detects signals, recommends actions, and automates workflows across safety, engagement, and productivity. They are transitioning from agency support to a fully internal engineering team while scaling revenue growth and investing heavily in AI-driven development workflows. Role We’re looking for a Lead/Principal Engineer who thrives in high-ownership environments and is passionate about AI-driven development workflows. You will report directly to the CTO, lead the integration of AI/LLM capabilities (Claude, Gemini) across our fullstack platform, architect scalable solutions, and guide the engineering team while working with product and design to ship customer-focused solutions. This role offers autonomy to define the technical strategy and architecture across the stack, from Ruby on Rails backend APIs to Next.js frontend experiences, while leading a team that leverages BMAD Method to build production AI systems. Key Responsibilities Pioneer AI-driven development: Lead the adoption and implementation of AI-assisted development workflows, including the BMAD Method, using specialized AI agents for planning, architecture, and development Build AI-powered features: Integrate AI across the fullstack to transform employee engagement and productivity data into actionable insights for HR managers Architect end-to-end solutions: Design and implement features from Rails APIs through to Next.js frontend experiences, leveraging AI planning agents and context-engineered development processes Lead technical strategy: Drive architectural decisions across Ruby on Rails backend, Next.js frontend, and PostgreSQL data layer hosted on AWS Champion AI-driven workflows: Mentor engineers on leveraging AI agents for PRD creation, architectural planning, and development story generation Shape your team's growth: Guide engineers in adopting growth mindsets and AI-assisted development practices Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with product and design to break down requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions Foster innovation culture: Promote psychological safety, experimentation with AI tools, and continuous learning Drive platform decisions: Monitor production health and lead architectural improvements using AI-assisted analysis Qualifications 5-7 years of professional software development with fullstack experience across Ruby on Rails and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js/React preferred) Strong AI-driven development experience: Hands-on with BMAD Method or similar, and leveraging AI agents for planning, architecture, and implementation Growth mindset and rapid learning ability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and optimize development processes Strong leadership mindset: Comfortable leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring platform reliability Startup or small team experience with high autonomy Customer empathy and understanding of end-user impact AI-first engineering approach: Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production apps Collaborative leadership and knowledge sharing around AI tools and methodologies Experience with PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and modern deployment practices Nice to have BMAD Method or similar frameworks: Experience with AI-driven development methodologies AI agent orchestration: Working with specialized AI agents for different development roles Technical leadership in AI-enhanced environments Cross-functional exposure to product, design, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps with AI optimization Experience with multi-tenant apps, background processing at scale, or event-driven architectures enhanced with AI Interest in employee wellbeing and workplace psychology Experience with auth/SSO, performance optimization, or observability tools in AI-enhanced systems Our Stack Backend: Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq Data: PostgreSQL, Redis AI/LLM: Claude, Gemini with custom prompting Frontend: Next.js/TypeScript Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions) Benefits Flexible hours and location, with focus on energy management Budget for professional development and online learning platforms Collaborative, no-silos environment with cross-team growth Dynamic social culture with team lunches and events Health insurance Leave benefits Provident Fund Gratuity If you possess the required skills and are eager to contribute to our team’s success, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
