Inpatient Medical Coder CDI Specialist

Responsibilities: Review inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG coding. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams to improve documentation quality and completeness. Conduct clinical documentation reviews to ensure compliance with CMS, AHIMA, and ACDIS guidelines. Identify documentation discrepancies and initiate provider queries to clarify missing or ambiguous information. Assist in medical necessity validation, severity of illness (SOI), and risk adjustment coding. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Medical-related course With recent medical coding experience in clinical/BPO/CPO set-up With active Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner (CDIP) Experience CDI Specialist is also welcome to apply Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Additional Notes: This position will be working with global leader in Clinical Process Outsourcing, Working Set-up: Must be amenable to work onsite, Day shift Mondays to Fridays.
