Your Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will own the infrastructure, deployment automation, reliability, and operational stability of a production healthcare technology platform. You will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to strengthen AWS infrastructure, streamline releases, automate provisioning, and ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations.
- Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Operate and optimize AWS services, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/PostgreSQL, SQS, ElastiCache/Redis, S3, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch, to support production and staging environments.
- Automate Deployment Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Docker to enable reliable releases, automated testing, controlled database migrations, and safe rollbacks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code: Develop reproducible infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools to reduce manual configuration and improve consistency across environments.
- Strengthen Reliability and Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, alerts, dashboards, health checks, and recovery procedures to detect and resolve infrastructure and application issues proactively.
- Improve Security and Operational Resilience: Apply least-privilege access, secure secrets management, environment isolation, backup and restore procedures, and reliable queue and background worker processing.
- Troubleshoot Production Issues: Investigate incidents across cloud infrastructure, containers, networks, databases, application logs, and external integrations, implementing preventive measures to minimize recurring failures.
- Optimize Developer Operations: Automate infrastructure setup, operational diagnostics, deployment validation, and routine maintenance tasks while collaborating with application engineers and QA.
- Leverage AI for Engineering Productivity: Use AI tools to assist with infrastructure scripting, code and configuration reviews, incident analysis, runbook development, and operational automation while independently validating all changes.
