Overview The Systems Management Consultant will primarily function as a browser engineer. The Browser Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise browser environments, focusing on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. This role ensures secure, performant, and compliant browser configurations across the organization, supporting both user experience and enterprise security standards. This role requires a high level of collaboration and consultation with website application owners. Responsibilities Browser Lifecycle Management: Oversee deployment, configuration, and update cycles for Edge and Chrome browsers Align browser release schedules with enterprise testing and compatibility requirements Extension & Enterprise Mode Management: Administer browser extensions, including packaging, approval workflows, and policy enforcement. Configure and maintain Enterprise Mode Site Lists to ensure legacy application compatibility. Security and SSO: Define browser security baselines Troubleshoot authentication failures and optimize login flows Certificate & Trusted Zone Management: Manage browser certificate stores and trusted site/zone configurations Ensure compliance with internal PKI and external certificate authorities Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate browser related issues including rendering problems, TLS handshake failures and extension conflicts Collaborate with network and application teams to resolve cross-layer issues affecting browser performance Automation & Monitoring: Develop scripts and tools to automate browser configurations, telemetry collection and updates Monitor browser health and usage using DEX tools or custom dashboards On-call may be required Compliance: Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives related to work locations, teams, shifts, and flexible work arrangements Qualifications Experience: 5+ years in endpoint engineering or browser management roles Proven experience collaborating and supporting with offshore or geographically diverse teams Technical Skills: Experience with Intune, Ivanti, or similar endpoint management platforms Deep understanding of Chromium-based browser architecture Proficiency in PowerShell Proficiency in Browser Security – Security baselines & policy management, browser isolation, SSO authentication technologies, extension management, trusted zone configurations Solid analytical and communication skills Ability to work cross-functional with security, infrastructure, and application teams Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a large endpoint environment over 50k Experience working in a highly regulated industry, i.e. Insurance, Healthcare, Banking Optum is a drug-free workplace. © 2025 Optum Global Solutions (Philippines) Inc.
