JOB DESCRPTIONS:
Collaborate with culinary staff to prepare, cook, and present food per hotel standards.
Train and supervise staff to ensure high-quality food.
Maintain standards set by the Chef de Cuisine.
Report important issues and assist with food costs and budget control.
Follow safety protocols, including food safety, fire, and occupational safety.
Functional Responsibilities:
Ensure the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients, read recipes accurately, manage supplies, report equipment needs, oversee cleanliness, and ensure proper storage and safety compliance.
Assign tasks to staff, manage schedules, control costs, and train team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Perform additional duties as needed, such as handling VIP events and staff meetings, based on hotel requirement s.
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent
- Skilled in food prep, presentation, quality, and menu design
- Flexible with shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Trained in Food Safety (HACCP / ISO22000)
- 4 - 5 years as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef, preferably in Italian or fine dining at luxury hotels or upscale restaurants
- International experience is a plus but not required
