Overview

Quality Engineer - Domain - Philippines. The Quality Engineer is pivotal in supporting the delivery of the Domain Strategy by driving the continuous improvement of Quality engineering within their squad. They use advanced technical skills and a deep understanding of quality engineering principles to create robust, scalable, and efficient applications. The role involves implementing industry best practices across testing activities (progress, regression, integration) and ensuring quality is considered at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle. They actively mentor, coach, and uplift quality engineering capability within the squad, collaborating effectively with others to find solutions. Working within the Agent Experience division and embedded within the Skylight Crew, you will drive products that redefine industry standards and enhance experiences for real estate professionals in Australia.

• Develop scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions by applying best quality engineering practices.
• Drive continuous improvement through contributions to test infrastructure, system health, tech debt, and automation.
• Build and maintain robust test suites, tools, and documentation to support efficient and effective testing.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Tech Leads on improving processes and system changes.
• Actively mentor, coach, and uplift quality engineering capability within the squad and across the organisation.
• Contribute a quality perspective to design discussions, planning, and roadmap estimations.
• Foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
• Execute and analyse testing activities, resolve issues collaboratively, and ensure solutions align with business and customer needs.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance quality processes and reduce incidents.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment between product goals and quality standards.

• Experience testing software solutions at scale and with highly trafficked customer-facing websites.
• Experience working with Tech leads to optimise engineering practices and processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Experience with automated testing tooling and Agile environments; cross-functional team collaboration (Product, Design, Tech).
• Understanding of shift-left testing, API testing (REST), and various testing types (integration, contract, load/performance).
• Experience maintaining a suite of manual and/or automated tests for web and/or mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with Cloud Design patterns, TDD/BDD, and Domain Driven Design.
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous (Messaging) integration patterns; basic Application Security practices (OWASP).
• Education: Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or related field; certifications in quality assurance are a plus.
• Desirable: Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end testing; K6 for performance testing; test automation for native mobile apps; AWS or other cloud certifications.
