Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance Microsoft 365 plugins for Word, Outlook, and other M365 applications using JavaScript/TypeScript. Implement secure, scalable integrations with Microsoft Graph API and Office.js SDKs. Ensure a consistent user experience across the plugin and the core web platform. Collaborate with AI engineers to add intelligent suggestions, content generation, and automation directly inside the Microsoft plugin environment. Build robust, maintainable, and testable TypeScript/JavaScript code aligned with modern standards. Optimize performance for real‑time, context‑aware AI interactions within Office documents. Participate in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and code reviews. Document design decisions, provide clear technical insights, and champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, and deployment. Experiment with emerging AI/ML tools to improve user experience. Key Measures of Success Deliver high‑performing, low‑latency Microsoft 365 add‑ins that run seamlessly across desktop and web. Integrate AI features that demonstrably improve user workflows or automation outcomes. Produce clean, well‑documented, and testable code that meets scalability and security standards. Partner effectively with product, design, and backend teams to deliver major features on time. Improve plug‑in UI usability and responsiveness, driving measurable increases in user adoption. Ideal Candidate Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (5+ years). Solid front‑end experience with React or Vue.js. Experience building production web apps, including RESTful APIs, OAuth2 flows, and secure authentication. Proven ability to debug and optimise complex UI performance issues. Comfortable working with product and design teams and owning end‑to‑end delivery. Desirable Candidate Hands‑on experience developing Office Add‑ins using Office.js and integrating with Microsoft Graph. Familiarity with Azure, OpenAI, or Cognitive Services for AI integrations. Background in B2B SaaS or document automation platforms. Exposure to testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright) and CI/CD for plugin deployment.
