MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic, and energetic individuals to fill the following vacancy:

Medical Assistant

Provide quality care and assistance to patients and doctors in the clinics. Responsibilities include:

  1. Carrying out medical services for PE, APE, and Applicant’s Consultations.
  2. Administering ECG, BP, and Pap Smear (without OB-Gynecololgist and with patient’s consent) for Annual Physical Examinations and Applicant’s Consultations.
  3. Assisting patients in acquiring doctor’s requests/prescriptions.
  4. Providing medicines (without prescription) to patients/MPI employees.
  5. Administering injectable medicines as prescribed by doctors.
  6. Receiving patients for PE, APE, and Applicants’ Consultations.
  7. Guiding patients regarding procedures for PE, APE, and Applicants’ Examinations and Consultations.
  8. Preparing referrals to hospitals and/or other doctors, to be signed/approved by attending MediCard physician.
  9. Entering BP results and mounting ECG strips for APE, then submitting to Laboratory for data input.
  10. Logging and filing daily documents related to PE, APE, and Applicant’s Examinations and Consultations.
  11. Preparing monthly reports summarizing daily operations, including patient details and statistics.
  12. Cleaning speculums and linens.
  13. Assisting the MediCard Medical Service Team during on-site client-company APEs.
  14. Logging, mounting, and compiling ECG records and readings.
  15. Logging and passing Pap Smear results to Laboratory.
  16. Assisting in minor procedures.
  17. Maintaining and updating patient medical records.
  18. Performing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse
  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience
  • Above average communication skills; personable
