Overview

The Chief Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization by leading the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function for RBSM. Remote with Periodic RTO in Metro Manila, Philippines .

This executive position is responsible for:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive risk management strategies, overseeing credit and operational risk, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management within the banking industry and demonstrate exceptional leadership and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the ERM function, ensuring a proactive and holistic approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all business areas.
  • Oversee credit risk management activities, including Expected Credit Loss (ECL) computations, provisioning, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
  • Direct efforts to identify, assess, and control operational risks, implementing robust frameworks and controls to minimize organizational exposure.
  • Develop, maintain, and update risk assessment and mitigation strategies aligned with the banks objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight on fraud risk management initiatives, including prevention, detection, and investigation measures.
Ideal Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise, credit, operational, and risk management.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
