We are looking for a highly skilled AV Systems Engineer – Estimating & Design to serve as the vital link between sales, engineering, and project delivery teams. This role combines technical design expertise, precise cost estimating, and construction coordination to deliver exceptional audio-visual and low-voltage system solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and collaborative, with the ability to translate client needs and architectural plans into complete, buildable, and cost-effective AV solutions. Key Responsibilities System Design & Engineering: Create conceptual and detailed AV and low-voltage designs, including one-line diagrams, rack layouts, and signal-flow schematics. Estimating & Take offs: Review and interpret construction drawings to accurately estimate equipment, cabling, and labor requirements. Construction Coordination: Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and MEP teams to integrate AV and low-voltage systems into overall construction plans. Field & Installation Support: Provide technical guidance to project and field teams to ensure design intent, installation accuracy, and quality standards are maintained. Proposal Development: Partner with Sales and Project Management to develop competitive, detailed proposals and bid documentation. Documentation & Standards: Maintain organized design files, BOMs, and drawings that align with company standards and best practices. Experience & Skillset 5+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, or low-voltage estimating. Experienced working for US based firms and well aware of the US industry standards. Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Visio, and D-Tools (or equivalent design/estimating tools). Strong understanding of AV systems, networked control, and structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, fiber). Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawings. Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Certifications: AVIXA CTS-D preferred; CTS or BICSI credentials are a strong plus. This is a full-time US time zone shift position, offering a rewarding career path with growth opportunities.
