About the teamThe Data Analytics & Intelligence team at Cloudflare is responsible for building a centralized cloud data lake and an analytics platform that enables our internal Business Partners and Product teams with actionable insights and also provides a 360 view of our business.
About the roleWe are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Austin team to scale our development efforts on Platform Tooling initiatives. You will work on building data application tools and frameworks which empowers our Internal Teams. You will work closely with the Data Engineers on the team to add new features and maintain our data pipelines written in Go.
Responsibilities- Design and implement key features of our internal applications
- Work closely with a cross functional team to design features and solutions that solve critical business problems
- Contribute in improving an evolving platform architecture for scalability, observability and reliability
- Continuously involved in knowledge sharing and mentorship
- B.S. or M.S in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
- Experience working with Go, Python, Java, or equivalent programming languages
- Knowledge of SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Experience with CI/CD, Gitlab CI
- Excellent communication & problem solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and work through ambiguous business requirements
- Familiarity with container based deployments such as Docker & Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or something similar
- Familiarity with Javascript, Typescript, and React
