Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Staff member to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, including managing financial records, preparing reports, handling accounts payable/receivable, and supporting the overall financial management of the company. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role is preferred but not mandatory. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable. Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling financial data. Familiarity with tax laws, payroll processing, and other relevant financial regulations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and resolving financial issues. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders. Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., creating spreadsheets, using formulas, and generating reports). Basic understanding of financial forecasting and budgeting is a plus. High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Adaptability to changing financial tasks and priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of payroll processing and employee benefit calculations. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, depending on the location. Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and handle multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
