Our client is looking for a Healthcare HR Compliance Manager to step into a managerial role overseeing HR operations and compliance for a healthcare staffing team, ensuring all employee files, policies, and SOPs are followed correctly. This is not an entry-level position. You'll be the go-to person for process improvement, compliance oversight, and strategic execution. You'll manage two on-site HR staff members, identify gaps, implement systems, and step in to handle day-to-day HR functions when needed. The company is investing in long-term leadership and expects you to take full ownership of this department while contributing to quarterly goals and operational excellence.

Client Overview

Our client is a growing home healthcare services company providing home and community-based care to clients across their service area. They manage a team of 50 to 60 caretakers who provide in-home services including housekeeping, transportation, and companion care. The company is scaling rapidly with revenues approaching the multi-million dollar range and is building infrastructure to support sustainable growth.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance for all active and inactive employee files to ensure regulatory standards are met

  • Manage and support two on-site HR staff members, ensuring they follow SOPs and complete tasks accurately

  • Identify mistakes, process gaps, and areas for improvement across HR operations

  • Step in to handle day-to-day HR and recruitment tasks when team members are unavailable or during transitions

  • Collaborate with company owners on quarterly goals, monthly visions, and long-term strategic planning

  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures across the HR department

  • Ensure all healthcare compliance documentation and reporting requirements are up to date

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help scale HR systems as the company grows

  • Support the integration of AI tools and automation into HR workflows where applicable

  • Maintain high standards of organization, accuracy, and proactive communication

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR operations, compliance, or a managerial role within healthcare or home health services

  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, employee file management, and regulatory documentation

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and oversee day-to-day operations

  • Experience stepping into operational roles when needed and handling multiple responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives

  • Experience implementing or following SOPs and process improvement frameworks

  • Ability to work full-time during Central Time Zone business hours

  • Bonus if you have experience with AI tools or automation in HR workflows

  • It helps if you've worked in a fast-growing company with scaling teams

  • Experience with executive-level strategic planning and KPI tracking is a plus
