Overall Purpose: Assists the Head of Plant Maintenance in the effective and safe implementation of electrical maintenance activities. Ensures prudent and efficient use and control of Company resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises and ensures completion of the preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance programs / activities in accordance to Integrated Management System (i. e. Quality, OHSAS, EMS)

Collaborates with other functional groups, contractors and other external parties to ensure safe and efficient implementation of preventive / corrective maintenance work orders, job orders, semi-annual / annual preventive maintenance activities, and minor / major overhauling works.

Provides input on the improvement of the IMS (i.e. new system design, work instructions)

Validates equipment abnormalities report, recommends and initiates appropriate actions.

Prepares test, commissioning and weekly accomplishment reports of electrical maintenance activities.

Provides input on root cause and failure analysis and investigation of plant-related incidents.

Provides input in the preparation of section budget.

Provides maintenance support during plant emergencies beyond work hours.

Understands and actively participates in the implementation of the Company’s Quality, Environment, Safety and Health programs.

Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification Requirements:

Registered Electrical Engineer

At least two years’ working experience

Working knowledge in troubleshooting, maintenance and testing of hydro or industrial plant equipment

Good interpersonal and communication skills
