Fullstack Developer (MERN/MEVN) – Affiliate Integrations & Gamification Platform We are building a next-generation shopping and gamification platform in the affiliate space. We are looking for a backend-focused fullstack developer to help architect and implement the systems that power merchant integrations, customer tracking, and gamified user experiences. As mentioned above this would be heavily back-end leaning. This role is for 40 hours per week. This role is for a senior and experienced dev, ideally from PH, hourly rate negotiable. Responsibilities Integrate with multiple affiliate networks (e.g. Commission Factory, Impact, Awin, Rakuten). Build cron-based ingestion to fetch and cache merchant lists, logos, metadata every 24 hours. Normalize data from multiple providers into a unified directory schema. Maintain category mappings for new merchants. Customer Tracking Implement affiliate tracking with provider-specific parameters (subId, clickRef, SID, etc.). Ensure customer IDs are consistently passed through to affiliate networks. Transaction Processing Design and implement webhook/polling system for transaction/order reporting. Build efficient cronjobs and/or on-demand polling for transactions. Process reversals/refunds and reconcile customer balances accordingly. Customer Profile & Gamification Build backend support for customer profiles (points, collectibles, history, achievements). Design APIs to support gamified features in the frontend (leaderboards, streaks, badges, tiered status). Ensure secure storage of customer balances and activity history. Implement secure login system with email + phone verification. Support password + OTP (one-time passcode) for two-factor authentication. Use MERN/MEVN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React/Vue, Node.js). Design scalable APIs for web and mobile clients. Ensure high availability, caching, and efficient data models for transaction processing. Requirements 3+ years backend development experience with Node.js / Express. Strong experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, aggregation). Proven track record integrating third-party APIs (REST, webhooks, polling). Understanding of affiliate networks or e-commerce tracking flows is highly desirable. Experience designing cronjob-based ingestion and efficient polling systems. Familiarity with authentication flows (JWT, OTP, 2FA, password hashing). Experience building gamified systems (points, leaderboards, badges, progress mechanics) a strong plus. Ability to write clean, testable code and deploy to AWS/GCP or similar environments. Nice to Have Knowledge of affiliate networks (Commission Factory, Impact, Awin, Rakuten, etc.). Experience with caching (Redis) and queueing (RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub). Background in e-commerce, fintech, or loyalty platforms. Experience scaling systems for real-time event processing.
