Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bidding Specialist to join our growing team. The Bidding Specialist will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bids (IFBs), and other procurement opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be adept at crafting compelling and compliant proposals that showcase our software solutions and secure new business for the company.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify and track relevant bidding opportunities from various sources (government portals, industry websites, tender notifications, etc.).
- Conduct thorough analysis of RFPs, IFBs, and other solicitation documents to understand requirements, scope, evaluation criteria, and terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, technical teams, product development, legal, and finance, to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive bid strategies.
- Develop a clear understanding of our software products and services to effectively articulate their value proposition in bid responses.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content, including executive summaries, technical responses, management plans, and pricing justifications.
- Ensure all bid submissions are compliant with client requirements, company standards, and legal regulations.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, including creating timelines, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time submission.
- Facilitate review meetings with internal teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of all bid materials.
- Conduct post-submission analysis to identify areas for improvement and best practices for future bids.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and procurement best practices.
- Participate in pre-bid conferences and clarification sessions as needed.
- Graduate of any four-year course.
- Proven experience (at least 2 years) in a bidding, proposal management, or technical writing role, preferably within a software or technology company.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and common software solutions (e.g., SaaS, custom development, enterprise software).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling, and easy-to-understand language.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
