Reconciliations Analyst – UK Cards Settlement and Reconciliations Location: HSBC, Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines The Opportunity The primary role of the position is to undertake daily and monthly operations within the department to an agreed level of accuracy and efficiency. The analyst is responsible for reconciling, monitoring, and investigating credit card, ATM, and debit card related GL and suspense accounts reporting to any HSBC entity, including MasterCard, Visa, JCB, ATM and debit card settlements, and credit cardholder payment. Additionally, the analyst prepares vouchers for ATM settlements. In This Role, You Will Review & verify the correctness of information in MasterCard & Visa settlement reports and prepare daily settlement to MasterCard, Visa, and JCB Card Scheme Association. Daily reconciliation of credit card related GL accounts, Super Cash, and Revolving Loan and Credit Cardholder payment. Ensure accurate and timely processing of billing invoices from various payment centers, MasterCard, and VISA. Maintain and increase knowledge and skills through attendance of training seminars, in-service training sessions, and participation in self‑development or career development programs. Contribute to the implementation of the Group Compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk, maintaining HSBC internal control standards, and addressing audit points. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements Able to work effectively under challenging environment with tight timelines. Escalation – ability to recognize when a task should be escalated and follow through to ensure management is aware. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Reconciliation process is an advantage. Ability to manage good relationships across multiple business lines and onshore counterparts. Good management skills and initiative for improvements. Possess knowledge on MS Office with good numerical and analytical skills. Good understanding of cards process flow. Broader experience in performing Reconciliation and Substantiation process.
