About The Company This early-stage startup is building a B2B high-school NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) platform designed to revolutionize how student-athletes engage with brands. The product empowers high-school athletes to showcase their personal brands, connect with sponsorship opportunities, and manage NIL deals in a secure, transparent, and compliant way. Role Overview We’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer experienced in both mobile and web application development to take ownership of our MVP build and early-stage architecture. You will lead the technical execution of the product, working directly with the founder to deliver an MVP within 2 months and a fully‑functional version over the following 4-6 months. You’ll be responsible for architecting, developing, testing, and deploying our initial platform—balancing speed, scalability, and great user experience. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a sports‑tech startup with real social impact, and to shape both the product and technical roadmap. Equity participation may be offered to long‑term team members who demonstrate strong leadership and technical ownership. Key Responsibilities MVP Development: Build, test, and deploy the first version of the NIL platform across mobile and web. Frontend Engineering: Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React / React Native (or equivalent frameworks). Backend & API Development: Build and maintain scalable backend services (Node.js / Express / NestJS or similar) and integrate third‑party APIs. Database Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain efficient databases (PostgreSQL / MongoDB / Firebase or similar), ensuring data integrity and security. Product Collaboration: Work closely with the founder to turn business goals and user requirements into well‑defined technical tasks and deliverables. Code Quality & Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable code and establish best practices for testing, version control, and deployment. Performance & Scalability: Continuously optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability as the platform grows. Security & Compliance: Implement strong data protection and user‑authentication protocols to ensure trust and compliance with NIL regulations. Long‑Term Architecture Planning: Contribute to roadmap discussions and advise on infrastructure, tools, and team scaling. Qualifications & Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Full‑Stack Developer, preferably in startup or agile environments. Strong command of JavaScript / TypeScript and at least one front‑end framework such as React, React Native, or Vue. Proven experience building and deploying mobile and web applications from scratch. Back‑end proficiency with Node.js, Express, or comparable frameworks. Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third‑party API integrations. Solid understanding of database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase, etc.). Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Google Cloud, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and self‑management skills—able to work independently in a fully remote setup. Passion for building user‑centric products and solving real‑world problems in the sports & tech space. Bonus points for: Experience with NIL, sports‑tech, or marketplace platforms. Familiarity with authentication frameworks (OAuth, Firebase Auth, etc.). Prior work in an early‑stage startup or MVP‑to‑launch environment.
