Reinsurance Claims Operations Manager — Guy Carpenter (a brand of Marsh McLennan)
Location: Manila, Philippines. This role is within a new Guy Carpenter business division to be established within Marsh Philippines.
What can you expect?- Strive to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and system tools to manage claims processes, meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and deliver compliant, efficient service.
- Ensure claims are processed on a timely basis and remind the cedant to submit Statement Of Accounts (SOAs), ensuring all contractual and warranty conditions are met.
- Collaborate with peers/markets on difficult or contentious reinsurance developments, supporting and providing training, mentoring and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with trouble shooting and to develop team resources.
- Establish and drive relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets to understand issues to resolve problems and queries and review working practices.
- Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications to resolve difficult questions and secure reinsurer agreements and payments of claims and account balances.
- Manage a team of claims staff.
- Proven experience in Treaty Claims and has network with reinsurance markets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and/or set up teams.
- Dynamic team management experience.
- Deep reinsurance industry experience, especially in Treaty Reinsurance, is highly desirable.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Positive attitude and adaptability in complex environments.
- Ability to work daytime in alignment with Asia time zones as this role covers Asia portfolio.
