About the Role

As we continue to scale rapidly, our success depends on building and sustaining a world-class teacher recruitment engine. The Head of Teacher Recruitment will serve as the organization’s recruitment leader, overseeing the entire teacher acquisition strategy—from marketing-driven applicant generation to recruiter performance, budget management, and executive-level partnerships.

This role requires a visionary yet hands-on leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term strategic planning. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle for thousands of teachers annually, build a high-performing recruitment organization, and partner with the C-suite to ensure talent supply aligns with client and business growth.

What You Will Do Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and own the long-term teacher recruitment strategy to support aggressive growth targets.
  • Partner with C-level executives to forecast hiring needs, align recruitment strategy with company goals, and advise on workforce planning.
  • Design and manage the annual recruitment budget, balancing cost efficiency with candidate quality.
  • Build strategic partnerships with universities, teacher communities, and professional networks to expand and diversify talent pipelines.
Recruitment Operations & Performance
  • Lead the entire recruitment funnel, from applicant generation through onboarding readiness.
  • Use advanced data analysis to monitor funnel health, forecast hiring outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of recruitment technologies, dashboards, and automation tools.
  • Establish and enforce KPIs, ensuring operational discipline across recruiter performance, ATS usage, and candidate experience.
Recruitment Marketing & Applicant Generation
  • Lead the Recruitment Marketing team, ensuring delivery of quality applicants through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee initiatives such as social media campaigns, digital outreach, referral programs, and tutor engagement events.
  • Strengthen recruitment branding by shaping compelling value propositions and positioning EDGE Tutor as the preferred platform for online teachers.
  • Ensure recruitment messaging and campaigns resonate with global teacher audiences and generate qualified candidates at scale.
People Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and scale a recruitment team of managers, team leads, recruiters, and B2T marketers, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and growth.
  • Provide coaching and career development to leaders within the recruitment function.
  • Establish succession planning and workforce capacity strategies to meet evolving business needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Training, Operations, Account Management, and Product to ensure recruitment capacity matches client launches and retention goals.
  • Collaborate with Finance on workforce planning models and recruitment ROI tracking. Work with People Ops to ensure compliance in all recruitment practices.
Who You Are
  • 8+ years of recruitment experience , including at least 3–5 years in senior leadership (Head, Director, or equivalent level).
  • Proven success in high-volume recruitment environments (BPO, education, outsourcing, or global talent acquisition).
  • Strong background in data-driven recruitment, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience working closely with C-level executives on workforce planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution—leading at scale while stepping into details when needed.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing large recruitment and marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of representing recruitment priorities at the executive level.
Preferred but not required:
  • Experience with teacher recruitment, freelance markets, or edtech platforms.
  • Track record of scaling recruitment in startup or hyper-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with recruitment marketing, b recruitment branding, or candidate engagement campaigns.
Work Setup and Requirements
  • Schedule: Mid-shift, starting at 12 NN or 1 PM PHT; flexibility required
  • Workdays: Five-day workweek with two rest days
  • Location: Fully remote, with preference for NCR+ for monthly leadership meetings
  • Internet: Minimum 25 Mbps with backup connection
  • Power: Backup power supply for at least 8 hours
  • Device Requirements: Intel i5 (10th gen), Ryzen 5, or Apple M1 and above; 8 GB RAM minimum; Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS Big Sur and above
