Estimator_Structural Steel

SnappyCX is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with at least one year of experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals to assist with material take-offs based on construction drawings. The ideal candidate should be able to read and interpret structural (S) drawings and architectural drawings , identifying and quantifying required components (e.g., beams, columns, railings, etc.). Responsibilities Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings (S drawings) Identify and list required structural steel and miscellaneous metal items from drawings Perform material take-offs and create lists of required quantities (e.g., number of beams, handrails, embeds, etc.) Collaborate with internal team to clarify project scope and drawing details Provide rough estimates and quantity breakdowns as needed to support the lead estimator Ensure take-offs are clear, organized, and submitted in a timely manner Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in estimating for structural steel and miscellaneous metals Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings (structural and architectural) Experience with take-offs in the steel fabrication or construction industry Basic knowledge of industry materials and terminology (e.g., HSS, W-beams, embeds, stairs, railings) Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Proficient in Excel or estimating/take-off software (preferred but not required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
