Job Description

• Works closely with clients, concerning their needs by providing feedback and iterating on designs (portrait, vector art)
• Knowledgeable in graphic design software (e.g., Procreate, Illustrator, Canva)
• Works with authors, editors, and publishers to understand the project requirements and ensures the artwork aligns with the book's vision
• Interprets the story and visual elements described by the client to create compelling illustrations
• Presents a series of drafts of the illustrations for approval
• Ensures illustrations meet quality print standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Arts or related field
• Fresh Graduate or with 1 year experience in digital illustration
• Able to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines
• Must thrive in a fast-paced setting and demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willing to start immediately

As an illustrator, your task is to ensure that these vectors are high-quality and appropriate for our users and the platform.

What you'll do.

• Produce illustrations in different styles with high technique and quality while meeting user needs
• Produce illustrations in line with the brief given by the creative lead
• Curate graphic collections for current design trends

We'd love it if you.

• Are experienced in illustration
• Have a strong eye for creating illustrations with style variation
• Possess a strong understanding of the fundamentals of illustration (visual and technical style)
• Have proven ability to select highly relevant, usable illustrations with high quality and technique
• Have online portfolio with illustration samples which are beautiful, clean and elegant
• Are skilled with Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Animate is a plus)
• Have your own equipment: Computer/Laptop (with hi-res screen preferable) and high-speed internet
• Experience with Monday & Slack are beneficial
