Job Description

The responsibilities of the GA Accountant are:

  • Gain proficiency in all relevant applications and systems, ensuring an understanding of their integration and workflows.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and upload monthly journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations within set month-end closing deadlines.
  • Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis and communicate material or unusual financial activities promptly to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with stateside and local finance teams, including CFOs and financial analysts, on accruals and upcoming transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute month-end reports, provide GL details to local finance teams, and support audit requirements.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet and daily/monthly cash reconciliations, resolving reconciling items within required timeframes.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GA Accountant candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in general accounting (preferred).
  • Solid expertise in applying US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) to daily accounting tasks and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and various online applications.
  • Experience with Workday Financials, Blackline, or EPIC EHR is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
