Responsibilities
  • To provide technical support particularly in electrical engineering with emphasis on electrical infrastructure design for the Data Centers in Asia Region.
  • To support the Technical Director in the business development and marketing of the Group capabilities.
  • To manage project inputs and ensure the project budget and controls are in place.
  • Work closely with the Technical Director; be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
  • Perform engineering tasks on the mechanical services detailed design (including calculations, review of computer simulations, specifications, etc.) for building electrical infrastructure, particularly in Data Center projects and healthcare;
  • Review and understand scope, BIM, specifications and drawings from client briefs.
  • Ensure consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans/specifications; coordinate with other disciplines for project consistency.
  • Familiarize with relevant Local Building Codes and international standards to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and bids.
  • Engage with engineers, drafting and design staff to fulfill deliverables.
  • Lead and attend project/site meetings with clients, PMs and consultants from other disciplines.
  • Conduct site inspections as necessary and respond to technical queries.
  • Understand and follow plans, procedures, workflows, systems and tools to meet project requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate technical issues with other disciplines.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with clients in a Doer/Seller capacity.
  • Write technical reports and specifications, statements of work including functional descriptions for electrical systems.
  • Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Pursuit or registration as a Professional Engineer, minimum REE.
  • Minimum 10 to 20 years of relevant engineering experience (at least 7 years in Data Centers preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with BIM and 3D models (Revit) is desirable.
  • Fluent in Japanese language.
