Java PHP HTML/CSS/PHP/MYSQL Wordpress Responsibilities: Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, optimizing sites for speed, security, and SEO. Maintain the WordPress instance for the financial product database and containerized applications. Develop and/or maintain containerized applications for Key Facts Sheets, ensuring at least 99% uptime. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to database performance or containerized applications functionality. Collaborate with a decentralized team to implement new features and functionality, as well as troubleshoot on WordPress and containerized application platforms. Monitor and optimize the performance of WordPress and containerized applications to ensure efficient operation. Manage MySQL server to oversee and maintain the financial product database. Ensure cohesive integration between front-end and back-end systems, debugging and resolving technical issues across the stack. Assume the role of ‘Lead Developer’ for all aspects associated with WordPress within the team. Document processes and procedures for maintaining the WordPress instance and associated services. Lead the knowledge transfer process ‘in-house’ from current out-sourced developers. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin development. Experience with responsive design principles and mobile optimization. Minimum 3 years’ experience working with MySQL databases in a web development environment. Experience deploying and managing WordPress instances and Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS). Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bit Bucket for managing codebase. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MySQL databases and AWS deployments. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment. Prior experience in financial services or the banking industry would be well regarded. Experience maintaining and updating Java-written financial calculators whilst not essential, would be highly regarded. Abilities and Knowledge Required: Advanced proficiency in WordPress development, including themes and plugins. Strong understanding of PHP programming language and its integration with WordPress. Expert MySQL database management and optimization techniques. Knowledge of AWS deployment processes for hosting WordPress instances and microservices. Knowledge of Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), knowledge of Docker and containerized applications. Understanding of security best practices for WordPress and web applications. Familiarity with any .NET programming language like C#, VB.Net or F#. Familiarity with Java programming language whilst not essential would be highly regarded. #J-18808-Ljbffr
