  7. Ongoing Education: Keeping up to date with industry trends, insurance products, and local laws, often participating in continued training to maintain licensure.

Insurance agents may work independently, as part of an agency, or for an insurance company. Their compensation often includes a base salary plus commission or bonuses based on sales.
