Overview Join our reputable financial services firm in the Philippines as an Business Development Director at Sun Life of Canada Philippines Inc. and Sun Life Asset Management Company Inc., where you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales performance of Client Service Sales Managers and their teams of Business Sales Development Associates. This position requires a strategic approach to sales management, coaching, and development to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive unit revenue growth and meet targets; analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify business opportunities; collaborate with Client Service Sales Managers to create actionable sales plans aligned with company objectives; provide guidance on effective sales techniques, client engagement, and closing strategies; monitor sales performance metrics and conduct regular reviews and strategy meetings for performance improvement. Core Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of Client Service Sales Managers to excel in their roles and achieve sales objectives; provide coaching, training, and performance feedback; set clear performance expectations and KPIs; foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; conduct regular team meetings, sales training sessions, and workshops. Client Relationship Management: Participate in key client meetings; address escalated client inquiries or concerns; identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling financial products and services; monitor client satisfaction and take proactive steps to enhance retention; act as a point of contact for high-value clients. Operational Management: Oversee sales operations and ensure compliance with company policies; collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Marketing; monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue targets; ensure timely reporting of performance, forecasts, and metrics; implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency. Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree or related field Registered Financial Planner (RFP) certification or equivalent preferred but not mandatory Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is beneficial but not mandatory Experience Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in sales management within the financial services industry Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve sales targets Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies Leadership and Management Skills Strong leadership with a focus on team development and mentorship Experience managing unit managers and Financial Advisors with coaching guidance Ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver results Track record of fostering a high-performance culture and achieving objectives Sales and Business Development In-depth understanding of sales principles, techniques, and market dynamics Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to drive growth Proficient in developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets Skilled in identifying new business opportunities and expanding the client base Client Relationship Management Exceptional client-facing skills to build and maintain relationships Experience conducting client meetings with advisors and providing financial guidance Proven ability to address client inquiries promptly and effectively Focus on enhancing client satisfaction and retention through personalized service Operational and Compliance Knowledge Understanding of Philippine financial products, markets, and regulatory environment Familiarity with compliance requirements and ensuring adherence within the team Ability to oversee unit operations, budgets, and performance metrics Communication and Skills Excellent English and Filipino communication skills, written and verbal Proficiency in delivering clear presentations to clients and stakeholders Ability to explain complex financial concepts simply Analytical and Strategic Abilities Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make decisions Experience analyzing sales performance metrics and identifying improvements Proactive problem-solving with effective solutions Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset to drive growth Ethical Conduct and Adaptability Commitment to ethics, integrity, and professional conduct Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to market changes Collaborative and Talent Focus Collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork Fostering a positive team culture and strong interpersonal skills Talent acquisition and recruitment strategy including pipelines and referrals Work Location and Warnings Working Location: Hybrid – Pasay.
