Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer engineering, electronics engineering or relevant field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in network and systems engineering or a related technical role.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, systems architecture, and IT infrastructure.

  • Great problem-solving skills and ability to pay attention to details.

  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills are also important.

  • The ability to communicate well with customers, colleagues, and lower-level staff.

  • Hands-on experience in managing or leading a team of employees.

  • Experience with CCTV, LAN/WAN networks

  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills

  • Relevant certifications will be an advantage

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of the department’s plans and programs. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems.

  • Oversee and manage the work of reporting staff and encourage their continuous skills and personality development. Following command responsibility, the Department Head is liable for the acts of his/her subordinates.

  • Establish and enforce proper department procedures, policies and principles.

  • Assisting in the management and supervision of network and systems engineering teams.

  • Coordinating and ensuring the timely completion of network/system projects.

  • Overseeing the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network and IT infrastructure.

  • Ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and compliant with company policies.

  • Acting as a point of escalation for technical issues, providing support and troubleshooting solutions.

  • Contributing to long-term planning and optimization of network and systems architecture.

  • Supporting performance monitoring and capacity planning to prevent downtime.

  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing training and development opportunities.

  • Collaborating with other departments to align IT infrastructure with business needs. Establish and enforce proper department procedures, policies and principles.

  • To observe and promote safe working practices and help maintain working areas in a tidy and workmanlike manner

  • Support the implementation of the company’s and department’s plans and programs.

  • Support the company and department procedures, policies and principles.

  • Other tasks that may be assigned in connection with the position.
