Overview

Senior leadership role in Lazada’s communications team focused on developing strategic narratives and executing multi-channel communications for corporate, consumer-facing and seller-targeted initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Work with various business teams to plan and execute corporate, consumer-facing and seller-targeted communication activations to deliver on objectives.
  • Develop strategic narratives and insights that appeal to media, thought leaders and consumers, including messaging for Lazada’s technology, products and initiatives.
  • Strategize thought leadership content and plan industry speaking opportunities for Lazada executives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key media in the market, pitch and navigate independently; handle media queries and interviews with a strategic approach.
  • Collaborate with Lazada’s communications team across the region and support regional projects when needed.
  • Provide issues management and crisis communications counsel to mitigate negative coverage or mentions of the company.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in public relations, preferably with a media background.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage a team; at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Background in journalism and/or content creation is a plus.
  • Strong written and spoken English. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to support strategic initiatives and corporate content strategy.
  • Ability to develop media and external stakeholder networks.
