Overview Senior leadership role in Lazada’s communications team focused on developing strategic narratives and executing multi-channel communications for corporate, consumer-facing and seller-targeted initiatives. Responsibilities Work with various business teams to plan and execute corporate, consumer-facing and seller-targeted communication activations to deliver on objectives. Develop strategic narratives and insights that appeal to media, thought leaders and consumers, including messaging for Lazada’s technology, products and initiatives. Strategize thought leadership content and plan industry speaking opportunities for Lazada executives. Maintain strong relationships with key media in the market, pitch and navigate independently; handle media queries and interviews with a strategic approach. Collaborate with Lazada’s communications team across the region and support regional projects when needed. Provide issues management and crisis communications counsel to mitigate negative coverage or mentions of the company. Qualifications Minimum 10-15 years of experience in public relations, preferably with a media background. Problem-solving skills and ability to manage a team; at least 5 years in a management role. Background in journalism and/or content creation is a plus. Strong written and spoken English. Mandarin is a plus. Ability to support strategic initiatives and corporate content strategy. Ability to develop media and external stakeholder networks.
