Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of SME, trust, partnership, and high-net-worth individual clients. Experience in managing own mini team. Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns (individual, company, trust). Review and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, and GST returns. Assist with tax planning and compliance to optimise client outcomes. Supervise, train, and review work of junior accountants and graduates. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and effective communication. Keep up to date with changes in tax law, ATO guidelines, and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB). Assist with payroll tax, QBCC, FBT, and other ad hoc compliance tasks. Assist with tax planning, management reporting, and other business advisory services. Liaise with clients to answer queries and provide professional support. Qualifications Education: Graduate of Finance and/or Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred. Product Knowledge Complete knowledge of client accounts and businesses. General Australian accounting experience with solid background. At least five years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation. Knowledge of Australian Taxation and Compliance preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiar with accounting tools such as Xero and MYOB. Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed. Ensuring quality of work without supervision. Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Good oral and written communication skills.
