CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

About the role We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Kintetsu World Express Phils., Inc. in our Paranaque City, Metro Manila office. As the Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. What you'll be doing Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end closing Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and other critical financial reports to support decision-making Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting principles, laws, and regulations Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business objectives Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and training as needed Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial accounting and reporting What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, laws, and regulations Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team What we offer At Kintetsu World Express Phils., Inc., we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
