Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Onsite IT Support Specialist with expertise in web development, networking, and ITIL practices. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support, manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, and contribute to the development and upkeep of the company’s web assets while adhering to ITIL standards for service management. This is an onsite role, requiring daily presence at our (office/location).
Key Responsibilities
IT Support Duties
• Provide onsite technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Set up, configure, and maintain IT systems, including desktops, servers, and peripherals.
• Manage onsite troubleshooting of IT problems, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Implement ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management.
• Assist with hardware repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
• Maintain IT documentation, including configurations, troubleshooting logs, and inventory records.
Web Development Duties
• Design, develop, and maintain company websites and web-based applications.
• Ensure websites are secure, user-friendly, and optimized for performance and SEO.
• Provide regular updates and improvements to web assets based on business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website-related issues onsite.
Networking Duties
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure reliability.
• Ensure compliance with network security protocols and standards.
• Assist with onsite implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of onsite IT support experience, including web development and networking.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and practices.
Technical Skills:
• IT Support:
o Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
o Expertise in hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Web Development:
o Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Python).
o Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress.
o Basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL.
• Networking:
o Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, TCP/IP, and VPN setups.
o Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools and security best practices.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
• Web development certifications (e.g., Full-Stack Developer certification).
Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
