Director of People & Culture Mandarin Oriental, Makati is an upcoming 5‑star luxury hotel set within the lush Ayala Triangle Gardens, scheduled to open in 2026. As a Director of People & Culture, you will partner with the General Manager and leadership team to translate business strategies into actionable People & Culture plans that nurture the Mandarin Oriental culture and deliver exceptional guest and colleague experiences. Responsibilities Formulate and implement the People & Culture strategy aligned with daily operational needs, ensuring consistent guest services, colleague productivity and safety. Drive talent acquisition and recruitment to attract and retain top hospitality talent, taking into account local market nuances and retention of key colleagues. Develop and coach a high‑performance People & Culture team to deliver HR solutions that create colleague experiences comparable to the guest experience expected at Mandarin Oriental. Partner with senior management to devise, communicate and execute organizational structure, programs and activities that support ongoing business needs and deliver measurable outcomes. Provide effective tools and processes within the employee life cycle: recruitment, selection, orientation, learning & development, performance management, talent management and compensation & benefit programs. Define and communicate relevant HR and People & Culture metrics and KPIs to track the ROI of programs and services. Maintain compliance with local labour laws, regulations and company policies. Qualifications Extensive HR experience in hospitality operations, with preference for luxury hotel environments. Proven leadership skills and ability to partner with senior leaders to shape People & Culture agenda. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Filipino, with strong presentation skills. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR systems and payroll processes. Knowledge of Philippine labour legislation and compliance requirements.
