Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the development of solar, solar + storage, and energy storage projects through project management, contract negotiation, and transaction support across a project pipeline.

  1. Manage project development from Greenfield to Operation, adhering to high international standards.
  2. Initially focus on ongoing projects in the Philippines, collaborating with the Market Head and Regional Director.
  3. Oversee budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for assigned projects.
  4. Review project agreements such as PPAs, interconnection agreements, land leases, JV agreements, and related contracts.
  5. Coordinate with all functional areas: Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Legal.
  6. Collaborate with the finance team during financial feasibility analyses and during project debt and tax equity financing processes.
  7. Engage with local communities to garner project support.
  8. Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project timelines, value optimization, and budget adherence.
  9. Secure permits and ensure environmental compliance throughout project development, construction, and operation.
  10. Manage existing development contracts and oversee project due diligence processes, interfacing with stakeholders during project implementation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
  • Experience in project management for large-scale solar or comparable projects.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar software.
  • Understanding of typical structures of large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Attention to detail and contract management skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work flexibly with stakeholders from diverse cultures.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Team player capable of working independently and mentoring project developers.
  • Basic understanding of land documentation in the Philippines, including land rights acquisition and due diligence.
  • Proficiency in securing land and project permits.
