Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage effective communication with tactical counterpart.
  2. Use knowledge and supplier dealings to input into commodity strategy.
  3. Execute commodity strategy.
  4. Support Galley enablement.
  5. Sourcing Process RFQ and cost data for production and development Galleys, including any pricing disputes and PPV.
  6. Manage price books and cost variances.
  7. Analyze demand and pricing to set appropriate order quantities and batch size.
  8. Review supplier performance and agree plans with the Commodity Manager if required.
  9. Support Design activities and execute these plans.
  10. Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to realize savings.
  11. Lead or support the implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
  12. Work with potential suppliers and the program team to identify opportunities to reduce weight and cost, and address quality issues.
  13. Ensure the suppliers are ‘rate ready’ to support production.
  14. Support and work closely with the Tactical Procurement team to ensure supplier performance aligns with required and contracted terms.
  15. Identify supply chain risks and develop strategies to minimize impact.
  16. Develop the commodity by managing projects, including preparing business cases and commodity profiles, in collaboration with the commodity manager.
  17. Participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including proactive hazard reporting and safety recommendations.
Qualifications:
  1. Graduate of any Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  3. Experience in sourcing and supplier management, including implementing cost savings.
  4. Confidence with cost management.
  5. Materials Management background with MRP, ERP software.
  6. Experience in a Materials Management or similar role.
  7. Previous experience within a global purchasing environment, implementing strategies.
  8. Proven track record of achievement in a relevant position.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially data and cost management tools.
  10. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  11. No disciplinary cases within the past year.
  12. Not currently under Performance Improvement Plan.
  13. At least one year in current position.
