Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site. As part of the Global Power Systems and Infrastructure team, this role will provide ICT design and support expertise to complement and enhance our Mechanical, Electrical and Lead Design Management teams during Site Due Diligence or Land Acquisition activities. This is a leadership role with responsibility for developing a team capable of providing ICT system and security designs for projects delivered by Black & White. role responsibilities Provide expert analysis during Site Due Diligence and Land Acquisition activities Capable of producing designs to RIBA stage 4 and beyond Preparation of detailed design and specifications for ICT systems, both passive and active Understand the integration with BMS / EPMS networks Experience in communication room layout, sizing and design ICT cabinet and cabling containment design Structured cabling design and telecoms planning Deep understanding and knowledge of wireless and LAN switch networks Understand connected real estate and advise clients on the most feasible design Specify the requirements for Installation and configuration of ICT hardware Specify the requirements for management and monitoring networks Specify the requirements for administering and support of business applications Define the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets. The designs and analysis will extend to other third-party Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies including: Security – CCTV and Access Control, intrusion detection Common Network Systems (CNS), including integration with third-party MEP services, including but not limited to Lighting Control, BMS, and other building related services and systems There may be requirements for site inspections, attending client design meetings, witness testing additional role responsibilities (qhse) All roles include responsibility for health and safety in line with the requirements set out in the Employee Handbook. Awareness of H&S policies and procedures and impact on yourself and team Ensure all staff members complete mandatory compliance training when required Report any accidents, incidents, near misses appropriately This is a senior appointment and will be required to develop full ICT delivery capability including budget setting and achieving internal targets Responsible for the development and delivery of the strategic roadmap to grow the team and revenue education and training requirement (minimum) Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICT, or related field. Professional certifications (desirable): Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Security+, ITIL experience requirements (minimum) Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
