Overview This role is ideal for a licensed attorney in the Philippines with 10+ years of practice in litigation and real estate-related legal matters, including foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings. You will work closely with our in-house counsel and external U.S. attorneys, ensuring all legal documentation, filings, and case management are handled efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Oversee and manage all stages of real estate litigation, from drafting pleadings and discovery responses to assisting with trial preparation and post-judgment enforcement. Handle foreclosure proceedings in compliance with New York State laws and court timelines. Support bankruptcy cases, including preparing motions, reviewing debtor schedules, and coordinating with U.S. counsel on filings and hearings. Conduct title and lien reviews, identify encumbrances, and provide recommendations for resolution. Collaborate with investors, title companies, and external law firms to drive case strategy and successful resolution of disputes. Manage case calendars, court filings, and deadlines using case management tools. Perform comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda, reports, and summaries for ongoing matters. Provide strategic guidance to the legal team by leveraging extensive litigation experience and deep understanding of foreclosure and bankruptcy laws. Qualifications Licensed attorney in the Philippines (Bar passer, in good standing). Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in real estate litigation, foreclosure, and bankruptcy law. Strong understanding of New York foreclosure procedures, litigation processes, and bankruptcy court requirements (experience working with U.S. firms is highly preferred). Background in working with investors, distressed assets, and title companies. Exceptional legal drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a meticulous eye for detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to coordinate across teams and jurisdictions. Proficiency in legal research platforms and case management or document management software. Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
