You’ll work directly with the company director in a collaborative environment, gaining specialized experience in the booming short-term rental market while using cutting-edge property management technology. Job Description We’re seeking a skilled bookkeeper to own the financial operations for a holiday home management company. The role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with property management system expertise. You will streamline financial processes, manage weekly operations, and ensure accurate financial reporting for a growing hospitality business. The position offers flexible scheduling, access to innovative rental property software, and the opportunity to build expertise in the short-term rental industry. You’ll work with the company leadership team and have autonomy to implement improvements and best practices. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive weekly bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records Process payroll and wages efficiently on a weekly schedule Master and manage the Resly property management system for weekly operations and month-end processing Maintain and optimize QuickBooks accounting system with focus on accuracy and efficiency Handle all invoicing processes and manage accounts receivable and payable functions Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements Support month-end closing procedures with specialized focus on rental property accounting Collaborate with company director on financial strategy and process improvements Requirements Must-Have : Strong bookkeeping and / or real estate experience, ideally within a hospitality or property management setting. Proficiency with project management (PM) software to manage timelines, reporting, and collaboration. Proven background in short stay or holiday accommodation operations. Proven experience with QuickBooks accounting software (essential). Experience with Resly or strong willingness to learn specialized rental property software. Solid understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, invoicing, and bank reconciliation. Ability to work independently while managing multiple weekly deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Preferred : Strong administrative and coordination skills to manage multi-property operations smoothly. Excellent communication and client-facing experience for coordinating with property owners and partners. Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, handling shifting priorities with ease. Prior experience in hospitality, property management, or rental accounting is highly regarded.
