Dental Billing Specialist with 5k Sign On Bonus

Job Summary The Dental Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling the billing and insurance-related tasks within a dental practice. This includes reviewing patient bills, preparing and submitting claims, following up on unpaid claims, verifying insurance coverage, and performing data entry. Responsibilities Review patient bills for accuracy, completeness, and obtain any missing information. Reviews patient accounts and determining appropriate billing distributions Prepare, review, and transmit claims using Denticon billing software, including electronic claim processing. Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe. Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount. Verify eligibility of patient's coverage by contacting insurance companies (minimum of 55 insurances per day). Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances. Collects co-pays, issues receipts, post payments and reconcile receipts. Perform accurate data entry for billing and insurance purposes. Qualifications and Requirements Knowledgeable in reviewing and submitting claims, with specific experience in dental billing procedures. Familiarity with dental terminologies and procedures. Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple demands effectively and accurately. Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate with diverse staff and customers. Capable of performing data entry and utilizing basic Microsoft Excel formulas. Skilled in making decisions and resolving issues through critical thinking and analysis. Willingness to work on a graveyard shift (2am PHT, Tue-Sat). Screening Criteria At least one (1) year of dental billing experience. At least six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in performing inbound/outbound calls. At least six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in calling insurance companies for insurance verification. Must have stable employment history. #J-18808-Ljbffr
