The Mental Health Counselor plays a key role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to clients through both onsite/in-person sessions and virtual consultations. This role is ideal for someone who values flexibility, teamwork, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Filipinos seeking accessible and quality mental health support. Duties may include but not limited to Clinical Service Provide individual counseling to teens and adults both onsite and online Support clients dealing with a range of concerns, such as emotional distress, relationship issues, stress, school/work difficulties, and adjustment concerns Apply appropriate counseling frameworks (e.g., solution-focused, CBT, person-centered) to meet client needs Set short-term goals collaboratively with clients and monitor progress Identify and clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients with suicidal ideation or risk of harm to self/others Refer clients to psychiatrists, psychologists, or external support systems when necessary Complete accurate and timely documentation for every session and maintain confidentiality in all records Work closely and collaboratively with Niche Psych’s internal clinical team (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychometricians, and admins) Participate in case discussions, supervision, and team meetings as scheduled Provide input in creating or improving clinical protocols and client care processes Professional Growth Stay updated with best practices in mental health counseling and attend required trainings, workshops, or supervision sessions Uphold ethical standards and comply with Niche Psych’s Code of Ethics and confidentiality guidelines Benefits may include Training and Development Government-mandated benefits (SSS, Philhealth, Pagibig, 13th month pay) Speakership opportunities HMO upon regularization (full time) Minimum qualifications of the role Currently taking a master’s degree in Psychology or Counselling Must have genuine compassion and concern for mental health and client well-being. Experience in couple counselling is preferred Must be of legal age. Must be a Filipino citizen. Computer literate and able to learn new systems or tools.
